Food Production Facility – Conceptual Design & Owner Representation
INSOCO was selected to support the planning and development of a new large-scale food production plant. Our role focused on design documents, permitting, and conceptual design, while also acting as a trusted extension of the ownership team during critical decision-making phases. This project required balancing regulatory requirements, production efficiency, and future growth potential—all within a framework that would allow the client to move seamlessly from planning into execution.
From the start, INSOCO worked hand-in-hand with the client to translate their vision into a workable, code-compliant design. We coordinated the permitting process to secure approvals, developed conceptual layouts that maximized space and workflow, and provided guidance on how to integrate both the building and equipment into a cohesive production system. Beyond design, we also took on a partial owner’s representation role, ensuring that the client’s interests were prioritized throughout the early build and vendor selection phases.
Our contributions included:
Conceptual Design & Permitting: Produced clear design documents and successfully navigated the permitting process, laying the foundation for all future construction activities.
Production Line Design: Created efficient layouts for freezing, cooking, and packaging processes, with a focus on product flow, worker safety, and maintenance access.
Owner Representation: Supported the client with construction oversight, consultant coordination, and communication with contractors during the initial build stages.
Equipment Sourcing & Procurement: Identified, vetted, and assisted in procuring all major process, packaging, and utility equipment—including specialized cooking and freezing machinery—helping the client secure cost-effective and reliable solutions.
Integration & Coordination: Ensured all equipment specifications were aligned with the facility’s utilities and construction plans, preventing costly changes later in the project.
By combining design expertise with strategic representation, INSOCO delivered more than just drawings—we delivered confidence, clarity, and control over the client’s investment. The result was a comprehensive roadmap for an integrated production facility that is designed to meet today’s needs while anticipating tomorrow’s growth.
